Working across the boroughs of Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil and Torfaen, Head4Arts delivers inspirational participatory arts activities that have an impact on well-being in the following ways:
Delivering high quality participatory arts activities that bring communities together to combat adverse childhood experiences, loneliness and isolation – our projects connect people and generations, working with all skill levels and through all art forms.
Programming imaginative arts projects that improve the well-being of communities and support continued good health.
Developing innovative projects that promote engagement with learning, stimulate interest in the Welsh language, and explore cultural heritage.
Supporting the continuing professional development of artists at all stages of their careers, encouraging diversity and effectively promoting best practice in participatory community arts settings.
Using green spaces creatively to help build safe, friendly communities – we run arts-based events across the region which encourage an appreciation of the natural environment and enjoyment of being outdoors.
Harnessing the power of the arts to raise awareness of environmental issues to promote positive action for change, encourage more sustainable lifestyles and imagine a better future.
All of our work is underpinned by the notion that the arts should be accessible to all. We continuously review our practices to help us extend our reach and provide more equitable access to arts provision.
