Get your souvenir Earth Hour 2019 Planet Passport
Ready to join us for Earth Hour 2019? This year there is a special souvenir of the event: your very own Planet Passport. Pick up your Passport at any of the four H4A events on Saturday 30th March and get it stamped to show you were one of the millions world-wide who took part. There’s a space to write your personal Planet Pledge: something you can do to help slow down climate change.
Open up the Passport to see the global map. But the really cool bit happens when you download the FREE Zappar App on to your smart phone. Then point your phone at the code on the passport and you’ll get animations, music, photos and loads of information about different species around the world – species that we could lose if we don’t change our way of life.
Grab your Passport on Saturday 30 March here:
10.00 – 12.00 Parc Bryn Bach, Tredegar.
Crane making, floating gardens, storytelling and lantern making
12.00 – 14.00 Blaenavon World Heritage Centre.
Crane making, world diet and eco-friendly foods, storytelling and lantern making.
15.00 – 17.00 Cyfarthfa Park & Castle:
Crane making, duck food making, penguin trail, storytelling and lantern making.
18.45 – 20.30 Parc Penallta, Ystrad Mynach
Crane making, lantern parade, live music, storytelling.
Then at 8.30pm switch off your lights for an hour.
Earth Hour is a WWF initiative and WWF Cymru say
“we are the first generation to know we are destroying the world and we could be the last that can do anything about it. Together, our actions and the power of our voices can bring about change.”
