Head4Arts has a track record of delivering arts activities with targeted groups in collaboration with partner organisations, such as Communities First, Hafal, Pupil Referal Units, Barnardo’s, Hafan Cymru and the Alzheimer’s Society. These projects are driven by a belief that the arts can make a positive difference to people’s lives.
The Mix – Reach the Heights
Funded by the European Social Fund through Arts Council of Wales, The Mix used the arts to help young people take the next steps towards education and employment. Activities delivered through the programme included rock schools, music journalism, digital music and app design, digital storytelling and graffiti workshops. Throughout the programme Head4Arts delivered 122 projects and worked with over 1,000 young people.
Young People With Dementia Choir
Delivered in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society, the YPWD Choir is based in Llanyrafon Church, Cwmbran and is targeted at individuals who are living with dementia and their families. The choir has performed at a number of public events, including at the Welsh Proms in St David’s Hall.

Menu for Life
Delivered in partnership with the South Ebbw Fach Communities First Cluster, Menu for Life is an arts and health project that aims to promote well-being and raise awareness of mental health related services available in the area. This programme of work has included a diverse range of arts activities including circus skills, ukulele sessions, NIA dance and creative writing with drama.
