Delivering inspiring participatory arts programmes that change the way people see themselves and the world around them.
Our aim is to provide participatory arts activities, creative learning programmes and memorable experiences that help people of all ages and abilities in the South East Wales Valleys to thrive individually and collectively.
We believe that utilising the arts is the most effective way of making a difference to the quality of people’s lives –promoting well-being, unlocking potential and building resilient communities.
Our work shows that alongside providing inspirational and enjoyable experiences, participatory arts programmes can be a catalyst for economic and social progress. By working closely with partner organisations and professional arts practitioners we find imaginative solutions that deliver positive change.
We are committed to co-production and believe that by working together with communities, artists, local authority and leisure trust colleagues and other partners, we will achieve our vision of:
The South East Wales Valleys being a region of confident, creative, healthy and skilled communities, where everyone has equal access to artistic excellence through participatory arts experiences.

“Head4Arts helped light the touch paper under our pilot literacy project, giving us vital support and contacts just when we needed them. Our work has since blossomed into a fully-fledged social enterprise, Petra Publishing, that helps support family learning. Last year we presented our work at Hay Festival – something we will never forget.” Michelle Jones, The Parent Network
